To harvest the energy from stronger and more predictable currents, wind turbine installation is moving further offshore, aiming to put in service larger units capable of higher power output
For this reason, installation vessels are being updated with newer cranes providing increased lifting capacity to keep the pace with the market standard. This is the case of the vessels Wind Orca and Wind Osprey.
