Project Description
The vessel “Amazon” is capable of installing subsea pipelines ranging from 4.5” to 24” diameter at a water depth up to 3500 m.
Pipe strings with length up to 72 m are welded, thermally insulated and tested on board thanks to a state of the art laying system.
The vessel has been upgraded with a fully automated pipe handling system which makes “Amazon” one of the most advanced J Lay vessel in the offshore market.

- Design and optimization of the pipe handling layout
- Lead of design reviews with final customer
- Equipment design approval (LLoyd Register CLAME Rules)
- Interface and coordination of non-mechanical disciplines
- Technical evaluations of suppliers
- FMECA analysis, FAT procedures and on site support
