Project Description
The use of Bio LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) is a promising way to reduce the emissions of the (heavy) road and maritime transport sector. Organic waste is transformed into Bio Gas, which is further processed to separate methane (CH4) from carbon dioxide (CO2). Methane is then liquefied, increasing its energy density by 600 times. The result is Bio LNG, an ideal fuel for sectors where electrification is not yet technically viable.
Scope of Work
- Mechanical Design of innovative cryogenic gas-liquid separation valve for Bio LNG
- Preparation of Basis of Design (main project technical specification)
- Code Calculations (ASME BPV VIII, ASME 31.8, ASME B16.34)
- Thermal and Structural FEA (transient simulation of start up procedure)
- Material and component selection for cryogenic operations
- ITP and assembly procedures and instruction for end user
- Review of subcontractors’ design/drawings package
- Interface with Lloyd Register for product approval
- Documentation for FAT, witness during testing (cryogenic functional tests, hydrostatic pressure test),
